How long is a licence withdrawal for serious speeding?
The withdrawal lasts at least two years for a particularly serious speeding offence, for example 50 km/h or more over the limit where the speed limit is 50 km/h or less.
This same threshold also constitutes a criminal offence ("reckless driving offence"), punishable by a custodial sentence of one to four years. See speeding for all the thresholds by zone, and licence withdrawal for the other categories of severity.
