What does a driving school do?

A driving school supports learner drivers as they learn to drive and prepare for the practical test. Instructors offer lessons suited to each student's level, to build the right reflexes, master the vehicle, and learn to drive safely and independently.

Depending on the school, other courses may also be offered: a road safety awareness course, theory preparation, or training specific to certain licence categories.

Not all driving schools offer the same training, however. Some specialise in cars, while others also teach motorcycles and scooters, vehicles with a trailer, heavy goods vehicles, or vehicles used for passenger transport. It's worth checking that the school you choose offers training for the vehicle and licence category you're after.
